Dedicated to Creating Future Leaders and Active Global Citizens
Our innovative purpose-built centre is a family owned early learning centre with a passion for multilingual education. We provide a nurturing environment where children learn, play and grow. With experienced and caring staff, we foster a love for learning in every child. A place of love, laughter, and learning. This is our children’s village!
Our multilingual approach will give children the opportunity to take advantage of the optimal time in their lives to learn languages other than English – like Mandarin and Spanish. We believe our children need to be equipped with the skills to communicate effectively so that they can be independent, creative and purposeful thinkers and learners. Our holistic program is developed around a play-and-learn pedagogy in a nurturing environment that will encourage your child to explore and experience the world at large.
Everything we do at Angsana Early Learning Centre is to prepare for your child’s future. Our holistic teaching and learning practices ensure that every child is prepared for their first day, and even their first year, of school. We believe that children learn best through activities they enjoy such as music, games, storytelling, and role-play. Your child’s progress is important to us, so we have developed academic programs in areas of phonics and numeracy which are in line with the NSW curriculum objectives. We will keep a close eye on your child’s progress in all areas, and provide the support needed for them to achieve their potential.
We want to give your child a head start in all areas of social, emotional, and educational development. At Angsana Early Learning Centre the learning is intensive, but the fun never stops.
At the heart of everything we do is joy and wonderment. We are nurturers. We know that children learn best when they are happy, and we are playful, learning from the same people that we teach.
We are dreamers. We are open minded and are always using our imagination, taking risks and thinking about our next steps by reflecting on how we can improve our service to our families.
We are committed in our community. We love being a safe and trusted hub and are always striving to do our best to give back to the people and the environment that supports us.

Planting the SEEDS of SUCCESS in your child
In the spirit of reconciliation, Angsana ELC acknowledges the Darug People as the traditional owners of this land and recognises their continued cultural and spiritual connection to the land, sky and waterways that surround us.
Angsana ELC acknowledges that we are on Aboriginal land and recognise the strength, resilience, and capacity of Aboriginal people on this land. We would like to acknowledge all the traditional owners of the land and pay respect to Aboriginal Elders past, present, and emerging.
Our English sessions will cover the key skills of language, literacy and phonics. The children will be immersed in a literacy-rich environment, exposed to a range of texts each day to foster a love of reading and engaging with stories. We will develop your child’s vocabulary and model correct pronunciation and grammar.
Our educators are all trained in systematic, synthetic phonics, which is becoming increasingly popular in Australian schools as the most efficient way to teach children to read and write. From Nursery, we will focus on on developing children’s speaking and listening skills and lay the foundations for the phonic work which starts when we introduce letter sounds. The emphasis during their first phase of learning is to get children attuned to the sounds around them and ready to begin developing oral blending and segmenting skills.
Once we feel your child is ready, we will start to introduce letter sounds and how to blend them together to start their reading and writing journey!
Our numeracy program is all about the mastery of mathematics. We focus on depth of knowledge over acceleration and rote learning. We believe that children need to use concrete materials and visual representations through hand-on activities to really grasp mathematical concepts before moving on to abstract learning.
Our three areas of focus are:
We will develop you child’s mathematical thinking skills, foster deep thinkers and teach them how to apply their knowledge in different contexts, with a focus on explaining methods and thinking processes. Our numeracy program will encourage curiosity, creativity and critical thinking.
Our exquisite Mandarin and Spanish programs have been developed by experienced and passionate native speakers. Each lesson will be a burst of energy and excitement as children are fully immersed in the taught language through games, songs, stories and drama. We believe that immersion is the best way to learn a language over translation, as this is how we pick up our native tongue. Early childhood is the best time to begin learning another language, as our brains are developing, they can retain more information and develop the fluency to become bilingual or even multilingual. We want our children to become global citizens, and to promote communication across a range of cultures.
It is important that our children grow up to be happy and healthy. Our holistic cooking program not only promotes healthy eating habits but encourages children to consider where their food comes from, educates them on the sustainable practice of growing their own fruit and vegetables and teaches them about the importance of good hygiene. The art of cooking is a mindful skill which enables children to express themselves creatively and emotionally and build relationships with family members and peers in the kitchen and beyond.
At Angsana ELC, we lead by example. Sustainable living is an important part of our ethos and a message we want to spread to our children and families. We encourage our A.E.L.C. family to engage in a greener way of life through reducing waste, reusing or recycling, composting, caring for animals, making use of a worm farm, gardening and much more. We will educate our children about the importance of showing respect to the natural world.
Angsana ELC educators are passionate about teaching drama because we feel it is more than just a performance-based art form, it is an accessible and powerful interactive learning tool for young children. Drama encourages physical, social, and intellectual learning. It teaches children how to share their emotions and think creatively, improving emotional literacy.
We believe that confidence is crucial when it comes to learning, and this stems from your environment. It is important that children are given the opportunity to share their voice from an early age, with a team of adults cheering them on, so that they know their value and the importance of their place in the world.
Speech and Drama is not only about standing up in front of a crowd; it’s about exploring another means for creative expression, learning about the world around us, understanding our emotions, positive discipline, working in a team and much, much more.
Physical activity is vital to a child’s all-round development. We have developed a program to ensure that children are exercising their fine and gross motor skills to develop strength, spatial awareness, control, coordination and agility. We will encourage children to play active games outdoors to promote healthy habits, an enjoyment of exercise and the importance of physical and emotional well-being. Inside we will be playing with puzzles, building blocks, playdough and sensory experiences to develop our hand-eye coordination and build those all important hand and finger muscles.
